Reading List

Some good reads...

The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich This one is a real page turner. Rather than babble on, here's a quote:

"What are you waiting for? If you cannot answer this without resorting to the previously rejected concept of good timing, the answer is simple: You're afraid, just like the rest of the world. Measure the cost of inaction, realize the unlikelihood and repairability of most missteps, and develop the most important habit of those who excel and enjoy doing so: action."

Groundswell: Winning in a World Transformed by Social Technologies
. . . I've just started reading.  So far so good.  It's covering current social media technologies, and how they have begun to reshape the way we do business and market ourselves/products.  Weather your selling products over the internet, or the marketing director for a large firm; this book will be helpful to understanding the ins-and-outs of the brave new world.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. . . took me by surprise.  I was expecting something a bit more formulaic.  However Stephen Covey gets deep.  He starts by getting you to evaluate your own character from an objective perspective, and then sets you up to put some very core principles into practice.  In my opinion he side steps a lot of the new age mumbo-jumbo bombarding us today and allows his readers a more practical approach to being proactive in their own lives.
